I’m making some changes around here, so sorry for the confusion. I’ve decided to move my blog back to blogger after continuous frustration with WordPress. If you would like to continue to follow my blog, please follow me on bloglovin or you can click here.
A few more changes:
I am now taking sponsors, so please check out my advertise page.
I am also phasing out my Etsy store. When my listings are expired I will no longer be selling there, but at Storenvy. You can use the code GoodBye for 40% off in my Etsy shop!
I am excited about these changes and the opportunities they will bring! Thank you for all your support!

I was recently asked to share my creative space on Talk 2 The Trees blog, and thought I would share where the magic happens here. My creative space is technically supposed to be our guest bedroom, but I moved the bed out. It’s filled with all sorts of crafting supplies…almost to hoarder territory….
Most of my furniture is found or vintage, and by found I mean left in my garage. Finders keepers. 😉
My prized possession is the Dolly Parton drawing my mother found for me at a garage sale down the street while visiting. I have lots of gig posters for my husband’s band Thrift Store Cowboys, some done by Dirk Fowler who is super rad.
My husband caught me working on the side of the room I didn’t take pictures of because it is a super hot mess. I’m pretty messy, but it’s how I function. If it’s too clean and organized I can’t find anything.
What does your creative space look like? Leave a link, I’d love to check it out!
Since it’s almost Halloween I thought I would share a true scary story with you all….
Growing up I thought my house was haunted. I thought I saw a Victorian girl living in the hall mirror, on occasion I thought I saw a couple of ghosts floating down that same hallway while I lay on my top bunk staring out…petrified.
I shared a room with my little sister, and we kept our lights dimmed some when sleeping. Keep in mind this was the 1980’s and dimmer lights were cool. I slept with my Rainbow Brite doll on my Rainbow Brite sheets…and really it was Rainbow Brite everything.
One night as I’m staring at the hallway and not being able to sleep, I look over at my Rainbow Brite doll with her painted on eyes and they blink up at me. She had the most wicked smile on her face, prompting me to throw her to the ground. Thankfully she landed face down. In the morning I checked her out, but her eyes were just painted on. Freaked out I never played with that doll again, and I’m still petrified of Rainbow Brite to this day.
I’m not sure if I ever told my mom what happened, but I quickly moved on to Beauty and the Beast everything and got rid of my Rainbow Brite everything.
Did you ever think your house was haunted growing up?
We went to the corn maze this weekend. Amelia was excited about ponies and chickens, and less excited about pumpkins. I rode a cow train with her, which was basically barrels pulled by a tractor (there’s a video on Instagram). Sadly they were out of corn, which was weird.
What did you do this weekend?
One year ago I started this blog. Time has flown, this blog has grown and I’ve met lots of great new friends. As a thank you for following, I wanted to do a fun giveaway with a few of my favorite things!
You can win, from left to right:
1. Stickerdoodles Owl Stickers for all your scrapbooking needs or just to cute some stuff up!
2. Malabrigo Yarn which is hand dyed and made in Uruguay. This lovely yarn was purchased at my favorite shop Fancy Tiger in Boulder, Co.
3. Burt’s Bees Blueberry and Dark Chocolate Lip Balm, which is my new favorite as crazy as it sounds.
4. Mini Chococat Notebook to carry around and write down all your fabulous ideas in.
5. Hello Kitty Nail Stickers. I’ve never actually tried these, but I’m a fan of nail stickers in general.
6. Washi Tape is one of my favorite things to use on everything. This one has fancy roses.
7. Handmade crayon skull candle, because I like skulls.
8. Skull bracelet of awesomeness!

This weekend we took Amelia to a pumpkin patch….she hated it! It may have been a combination of the outfit she was wearing was too hot, and it was too close to nap time. We sat her down by a big pumpkin and she cried, but she liked the tiny pumpkins she could hold. There wasn’t a single smile from her in any picture.
This weekend we have plans to go to the corn maze with friends. I’m hoping we can get around early enough for her to enjoy it. There will be pumpkins, a small petting zoo, and hay rides. I can’t wait to eat some grilled corn!
Have you ever been to a corn maze? I mostly go for the food…
I am a sucker for traditional holiday shows/movies. It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is one of my fall favorites. Since I had such bad luck catching it on TV (when we had cable), my husband bought it for me on DVD. If you come to my Halloween Party, prepare yourself to watch it pretty much on repeat until someone requests Dracula or Ghostbusters.
Who doesn’t love Snoopy and his fight with the Red Baron, or Linus with his hope and innocence? Make sure to save a rock for Charlie Brown, practice your Snoopy Dance, and believe in the Great Pumpkin.
What is your favorite fall holiday show?
